Individuals Face Charges After Chase

Three individuals were transported to Fort Peck tribal jail after being stopped by the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s office on Wednesday, April 7. The incident included a short chase, damage to a sheriff’s vehicle and an injury to a deputy.
At about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the sheriff’s office was notified that three individuals suspected of crimes were in Albertson’s grocery store. According to the incident report, the individuals were suspected of having a stolen vehicle from Carbon County and also stolen items from McCone County.
After being apprehended, Bradley Jackson, Leon Cochran and Jasmine Birthmark were taken to tribal jail.
Cochran and Birthmark gave themselves up outside the store. When Jackson tried to flee, the vehicle he was driving allegedly smashed into the sheriff office’s vehicle. The crash resulted in a deputy being hospitalized.
Jackson then drove down the grass, onto the underpass and hit a railing. He was then apprehended.
Three county deputies and a Wolf Point police officer responded. The Montana Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
The vehicles involved were towed and impounded for evidence.
Jackson is facing the charges of theft, criminal endangerment, protection, fleeing and eluding. Cochran and Birthmark are facing theft charges.
